The background image for our newest issue is a spring photo by Matthew Bellemare. What better way to begin this new issue than with a field of crocuses? These delicate white and purple blooms symbolize hope, joy, and resilience. All things the world could use right now. As we begin our 25th year, we choose to focus on the bright spots in our tinywords yard and encourage you all to do the same.
Congratulations to our three writing prompt winners, Marion Clarke, Jacquie Pearce, and Lynne Rees, whose poems appear below. Please be sure to scroll through and enjoy all the poems offered in response to our winter scene prompt. Many thanks to our Assistant Editors, Polona Oblak and Carol Ann Palomba for their thoughtful reading, and to Dylan Tweney, founding editor and Technical Director, who keeps tinywords humming along year after year.
Spring is upon us here in the northern hemisphere, so open up a window to let in the warm breeze if you can, and enjoy the poetry of a worldwide community of poets who have generously shared their work for tinywords 25.1.
With gratitude,
Kathe L. Palka and Peter Newton
