Thank you all for your kind comments. I did write this during my fourteenth week of pregnancy, but I also liked the double meaning. My father was an alcoholic and I enjoy how the poem can also be applied for those with alcoholism.
Haiku, erroneously labelled as ancient – yet isn't writing ancient, and communicating (?) – like all forms of communication in art has its antecedents in older times, but is a modern poetry, and thus with the rise of alcoholism in younger generations, a good topic to capture in itself.
Yet the haiku is actually about pregnancy, itself an ancient art, and wonderfully carries the roundness of pregnancy and the cyclical themes with the wine glass, currently filled with water.

As a recovering alcohol, 32 years now at 67, I greatly appreciate this poem; excellent!

Interesting. As a mama, I thought she was pregnant. Lovely ambiguity! Excellent poem.

Refreshingly different topic for a haiku poem.
Haiku, erroneously labelled as ancient – yet isn't writing ancient, and communicating (?) – like all forms of communication in art has its antecedents in older times, but is a modern poetry, and thus with the rise of alcoholism in younger generations, a good topic to capture in itself.

A well thought-out haiku!
