Welcome to tinywords 17.1
We begin our new issue 17.1 with a double dose of nature’s visual fireworks. First, there are the myriad of colorful fish darting around this lively coral reef (photo by Q. Phia) which acts as this issue’s backdrop. Second, we present the winners of our most recent writing prompt challenge. There were so many wonderful entries it was hard to choose just one. So, congratulations to Sondra J. Byrnes and Lee Nash who kick things off with their winning submissions to our photo prompt of the northern lights. So many of the entries this time around were particularly fine that we’re sure you’ll find lots to enjoy, so we hope you look them over. The more than 200 entries read like a complete issue in and of themselves.
Thanks again to our Assistant Editors, Polona Oblak and Ruth Holzer. And another round of thankful applause to Dylan Tweney, founding editor and Technical Director who continues to make tinywords possible.
As we start things off here on the first day of spring in the northern hemisphere, it is of course fall again elsewhere. So as tinywords 17.1 continues all the way into the warm depths of July here in north America, we’ll poetically meander throughout all the seasons along the way. Thanks for traveling with us.
