light studded hillside the miles of night till the next town

Issue 20.1 | 29 June 2020
This is lovely, Michelle. Such a great sense of space and silence in the images. And some subtle and effective internal rhymes too. Just so good.
Wonderful! As I read this I travel across my West Texas origins. Kudos!
Love the solidity of "studded" as a descriptor for light. Brought back the romance of the road for me.
Beautiful images that evoke all the quiet sounds of driving alone at night down lonely roads, yet the glimmer of light up in the hills… so well crafted!
Thanks Michelle… a reminder of road-freedom even while I'm anchored close to home.
Love it, Michelle!
