Betsy Hearne is faculty emerita at the University of Illinois. Her recent haiku have appeared in The Heron’s Nest, Frogpond, and Shamrock, and she has other poems in Paterson Literary Review and Speckled Trout Review. She’s also the author of children’s books, as well as books on fairy tales, folklore, and literature for youth.
