David Watts came to poetry during the dismal months. What he found there propelled him into a literary career that has traveled through NPR commentaries, a Random House collection of medical short stories, deep conscious writing under the pseudonym of harvey ellis, seven books of poetry, a Christmas memoir, two mystery novels, a series of successful western novels, and finally, and very unexpectedly, haiku.
