David Watts came to poetry during the dismal months. What he found there propelled him into a literary career that has traveled through NPR commentaries, a Random House collection of medical short stories, deep conscious writing under the pseudonym of harvey ellis, seven books of poetry, a Christmas memoir, two mystery novels, a series of successful western novels, and finally, and very unexpectedly, haiku.

  1. Oh wow! The fact that it’s the wind through the “tips of the pines”made me think of the “skin of your teeth” … this person has got away with something … just!

It’s kind of noir for me, like a Coen brothers film.
