river rush
trees green
into birdsong
earth hour
the warmth of cayenne pepper
in the cocoa
clementines
a ring from the rim
of the crystal bowl
relaxing
its hold
snowdrop bud
steady thaw
the wood frog’s heart
beats again
revealing a little
more of themselves
crocuses
lifting the tips
of a spruce tree’s needles
November sun
October dusk
the quiver
in a robin’s tail
cherry buds
the blue tit’s beak
stuffed with string
