just past mauve paddling hard for a dark shore
—Jim Kacian
Issue 11.3 | 28 December 2011
Oh, How I've loved this chapbook…"dead reckoning"… finding our way when there are no fixed reference points along the way…. Much appreciated. Merrill
Is this just before you fell in, Jim? LOL
Lovely work . . . both haiku and image.
Susan
I love this poem and image, Jim. "Just past mauve…"
I like how you've not stated that darkness rises from the earth rather than descending from the sky….nice capture.
altogether perfect!
peace and love
What a great image and I really enjoyed, "Just past mauve…”, but as you know I am not competent in English grammar; so I guess that I am unsure of and uncomfortable with the paddler being implied.
I really get that feeling of the joy of dusk, followed by the necessity to get to shore. Lovely.
