the gulls cry-
a kite drifts skyward
though once held
crabs dance on
empires of sands
deluge of waves
beach wind
the tourist’s refusal
to believe he has cancer
laughter –
the day
becoming silence again
–
At daybreak,
un the Golden Beach
footprints of nigtly birds
beneath the aged oak
my journey’s end–
this acorn where it all began
