low tide
the smell of seaweed
and her Chanel No. 5
windy night
a solitary cricket chirps
at the stars
cold night
the street vendor hands me
a roasted chestnut
winter sunrise
the orange sky scored
by branches
still pond –
the
gentle
curve
of the swan’s neck
towering clouds –
childhood memories
of dragons
snowy garden –
the fat buddha looks
smaller today
country churchyard–
the shimmer of spiderweb
between the gate posts
another spring–
beyond the razor wire
cherry blossom
winter sun
a goanna stretched out
on a fallen tree
autumn wind
the slow drift
of dandelion seeds
night fishing
the small boy hooks
a plastic bag
blue iris-
the egret’s beak
ripples the reflection
after the rain
eucalyptus bark
glistening
sea breeze-
footprints
becoming beach again
sudden breeze
water lilies
hold the pond still
