cold morning
hole in the sky —
fire on the other side
–
not knowing the issues
look what i stepped in !!!
not looking down
–
dark clouds
punctuate the sky –
raptorial silhouettes
moment caught
night and day
scattered all over
Such a light hand you have, Tim. You do what so many haiku fail to: generate the wonder of it all in the reader, plus you make it look so easy!
raining so hard
even the crows
takng cover
silk print babushka
caresses her loving smile
snow flakes kiss her cheek
snow flakes softly fell
on the bridge that winter night
i kissed her gently
motionless water
fish swim beneath your cover
ice aquarium
very nice!
Hi, Tim.
This is a real nice haiku – a cracking example of ‘show don’t tell’. Keep up this standard – and may all your snowfalls be gentle.

First real snow
last night
My heart lifts
January light
(SMILE, Winter 2000-01, NO. 30)
snowing
little girl dances
with glee
evening snow…
shaking it off
the black hound
white again
White on white –
covered by the last snowfall,
the unseen snowman
escort of seagulls
her ashes, tossed from the pier —
silence
–
You have a great name!!!
grey sheet, dawn skies
steady trickle of rain —
baring my shoulders
