words whispered
the train whistle ~
our cheeks sharing tears
–
overseas duty–
oceans of tears
she died young –
and will always be
twentyfour…forevermore
Summer is over-
Old lady surveys her roses
Both will soon be gone.
in from the cold
i see her image–
thru misty glasses
yesteryears’ memories
etched into
my heart forever
after the long abscence
trying to peel through his bulges
to get to his former self
stormy summer afternoon –
silence
between us
–
