lower than usual
sunset …
her head upon my shoulder, rest
another snapshot from dixie. ain’t nothing
as good as a pulled pork sandwhich, with a side
a slaw, and some good fresh sweetcorn. now
when i say bar-b-que i mean slow smoked,
at least a 12 hour job.
lower than usual
sunset …
her head upon my shoulder, rest
low tide
hand in hand
we walk to the next island
even at the beach,
a whiff of grandmother’s
hair spray
her favorite sweater
stored years in my cedar chest
faint #5
And from daughter to grand-daughter, we all still wear Chanel…another pleasant retrospection, thanks Sue
