Hi, dear River!
Let be my haiku the first comment for you tonight!
Frightened clouds above the waves
cowers beyond the sharp rocks
petrel’s flight.

season’s end
the ballpark filled
with birdsong
beachwalk
the waves refuse me
to blaze a trail

orange moon emerges
in the sand
footprints and love
past midnight
dry track of tears —
curtain of silence descends
