an unusual and creative idea… the word “strip”, so specific to a certain kind of shopping area is heightened I think, by the idea of hubcaps which taken off a car might result in it being stripped… but the turkey is not quite capable of this … and yet it is suggestive… I like this subtle playful almost surreal image and yet it is the knid of thing that just … happens, one might just chance to see it and … language and turkey meet their match!
It is good, warming and more reflective.
Good work Barry. It is imagery such as this, that gives validity and substance to western, and particularly American haiku.
