The weaving of bright little birds as they paddle away under the cover of creek willows . . . so much is included in this delicate, tentative image I can't help but be pulled into the action and am soothed by what seems a narrow escape from and into the world. As poetry is apt to do.

What Lisa said. And what Matt and Helen said too! You've clearly demonstrated some of the potential of the one-line ku, Lorin. Very nice!
