  1. Marianne.
    Lovely.
Though I’m alergic to pollinated flowers, for a moment I took a deep breath with you.

As I wrote on tiny words twitter account, this reminds me of Karen's time working in Amsterdam where after an incredibly long day in a small windowless TV editing room, she couldn't wait to smell the freshness of flowers at the Bloemenmarkt, the world's only floating flower.

We forget how vital flowers are, and I can imagine the kiosk as either a pleasant surprise, or a regular stop. Wonderful!

  3. the flower market in downtown Amsterdam is as beautiful as it is fragrant; thanks for invoking lovely memories; from your neighbour in Guelph

  4. Oh, how wonderful. I have often thought, when I'm walking in the city, that I would love to spend a day at one of the outdoor flower markets, taking photographs and writing poems. Marianne, your haiku has brought deep and abiding joy!
