Commended haiku, IAFOR haiku awards (2016); Third Place, Samurai Haibun contest [UHTS] (2016); Honorable mention haiku in Matsuyama photo haiku contest (2016) and Shortlisted in Touchstone awards for individual poems in 2016.

Nice one Aparna. I have often sought comfort from tea as well in my moments of melancholy.
And on the other side.. I saw this as some of that non-reaction we get from being bombarded with too much horror day in and day out. Sitting there sipping tea while watching the atrocities of the daily news.. Both work so well on such a deep level…
