    sunflowers blooming

    Downsizing is often a sensible career move, and sunflowers make me think of a land where humans are tiny, or should humble themselves so.

    A bronze vase makes me think of the ancient Greeks but where Socratic humility is made into humiliation by people in power.
    .
    I'm not suggesting this is in this haiku, just what I also see. As someone with a bigger home but wanting to downsize everything that has accumulated, the simple pleasure of fresh flowers far outweigh a hundred stacking cases! :-)
