I love how I can hear the whistling sound of the teakettle in the end and internal rhyme and alliteration. I love your capture of our historical moment so much I will need to use it as an epigram.
OMG, I love this so much. You've managed to illustrate all our internal screams through this teapot, while also honoring our housebound habits of keeping that tea coming – whether for caffeine or calm – during this historical time. Perfect.
Perfect!
Indeed, we are all with you in this (virtual) kitchen. Thank-you, Jay!
Best small poem I've seen for ages…
I can relate as we have had to resort to our steam kettle for various reasons.
warm regards,
Alan
Tension and frustration captured in a kettle! Highly effective, Jay.
