Love this. I had a surprisingly visceral response to the image of the sky holding the stairs – feeling of seeing or being a big mama but just barely big enough to hold all those children that want to slip out of her arms. It’s great when a haiku can make me see/feel something I love as much as the night sky with fresh eyes (and fresh awareness of its beauty). Thank you.
