Love this, thanks! I live in Atlanta, GA, home to the world's busiest airport. It's rare when I look up at the sky and DON'T see a contrail or two. Now I'll be remembering your haiku!
As a hospital patient looking out of the window after a sleepless night, I noticed a morning crisscross 'kiss' of two contrails illuminated pink in the dawn, and remarked upon it to the nurse at the end of her night duty. She was too tired, and didn't appreciate the beauty. Mine was the end of treatment; hers was just one more day affording her another well-earned wage.
We all need to appreciate the beauty of the moment, regardless of what may lie in the future.
