__ Grand, and I thank you Claudette, you've caused this senryu; thinking of everyone's train, counting time, as that time clicks away… track to track. _m
clock to clack
when train wheels count as they roll
time passes
Even when a train ride is to the next town or city, or perhaps the airport, we feel we leaving things behind, hopefully for the better. But intriguingly as each train ride leaves a past behind, they accumulate, as we always come back physically maybe with someone else's baggage.
A gently thought(s)-provoking verse.
I think after the forthcoming anthology of train poems comes out later this, we'll be inspired to write many more, and perhaps dealing with complex issues too in such a fine way.

This is wonderful! I love the phrase "pulling away/ from the past" and if coming back, reminds me of the movie title: "back to the future".
