a call to prayer
by the sea
the scent of wild roses

ladybug
up a stem and back
quiet afternoon
sea shells
a child’s summer
packed in a jar
sweet melon
a wasp and I
have seconds
cat collar
the little bell
rusted silent
a shift
in the breeze…
lilacs
autumn afternoon
I bring a little honey to
a slow moving bee
one year older…
an oak leaf twirls
on a silken thread
stars
at every turn
ferris wheel
leaving home —
the mountains sink
behind me
spindrift…
another wave
of election ads
