Robert Kingston says he is a caterpillar moving through this world of words. He is a chrysalis weaving in the wind. Discovering haiku for him has been like a butterfly's first peek into a new world. Presented with his first accolade in achieving first place in the 2016 British Haiku Society competition has seen me focus more on Japanese genre. I am a butterfly finding my wings on a summer breeze. Submitting to journals around the world has seen me grow to appreciate and enjoy the haiku community. At the same time remaining a member of an Essex based library writing group that publishes a journal bi annually in support of a local air ambulance charity.
