Brings back memories of when I would look at lichens under a magnifying glass to study these tiny growths. And this huge bolder in my backyard that was transformed into a huge rock garden.

  2. hi Margarita,

this is lovely, am getting an image of hummingbirds
and blue-gray gnatcatcher gathering litchen, for
    there nests.

    best wishes

  3. hello margarita, once again you have shown there is an abundance of haiku moments ready to be discovered.

i love the contrast of strength, using the boulder, and of fragility, using the lichen.

then, you present us with compatibility, that which must exist within the lichen, the co-existance between the fungus and the alga, for the lichen to be formed; akin to a subplot, then we have the by-production, art.

margarita, yes, all in a moment, from your words, we experience this rarity in nature.

margarita, your knowing me, you know there is the possibility of a “however”.

    “boulder
    the rock art
    of lichens”

with this fragmentation, i get the impression “boulder ” is the “art work of the lichen”.
with an additional word or two, this misconception would be less likely to take place, and we’d truly have a turning point, rather than a continuation.

within a package of words, their usage can misconstrue

  4. This is interesting & i am glad to see it. However i think it would be even better either rearranged or with a bit more detail.
