chinese tea hall
the next table’s jasmine
patronises the scents
one’s twilight
turning back the bed —
but not the time
winter rain
greeting me from her bag
spring onion
just before dawn
Guam’s bright orange moon melts
into palm silhouettes
Moving shades
cooling his cupful cofee…
the birds’ outline
mirror reflects
shadows and lines
coffee erases
dawn, white ibis
on the shore
canal too deep for wading
