Love this!!! Yesterday was the first sunny day in ages and there were hummingbirds in my rosemary. I can SO relate to this haiku. Thank you!
Although I enjoyed the fairly large rosemary bush near my office, it grew pretty fast. When new owners purchased the property last year, they dug the rosemary up. There aren’t near as many bees visiting the gazanias. :-(
What made me fond of this particular haiku is the onomatopoetic nature of the second line caused by the repetition of the word ‘bees’.
Bees are not the only ones who love the sun and know its taste. We do too. We can appreciate the sun even when we eat strawberries and other fruits knowing that they did not have enough sun to sweeten them. I do not have a rosemary bush but two bushes outside my window and love to watch the bees, including bumblebees and a hummingbird or two.

Wonderful, gK! It’s encouraging there were so many bees.

Nice touch of humour! ;-)
That second line is brilliant.
rain ends
bees come out
as soon as it begins
