Hi Melissa – Congratulations. I love the way you have created this desolate haiku.
Great thought, wonderfully expressed!
What a sad feeling you haiku leaves with me, Melissa. I usually associate the west wind with bringing my love home…as well as fair weather of sparkling days. I must say that it is so exquisitely done … playing upon the echo of romantic poetry… You certainly teach us all a thing or two along the way.
This is lovely, Melissa – so compact yet limitless in its capacity to make the reader reflect.
I agree with everyone — worlds within your words.
Wonderful!
Alan
The sweet angst of longing… nicely done, Melissa!
