Enjoyed the humor and that these could be either female or male baristas deconstructing their boyfriends through the all night rain.
The last line raises the verse, and wonderfully makes me ponder why you are there all night.

I love the atmosphere in this. It really reminds me of my student waitressing job – we loved to see bad weather because it meant we could huddle round the old heater at the back of the restaurant and gossip all afternoon.
This is a good one… and Alan's comments expands the horizon further.
good one Mark! We miss you at the DC towpath haiku group! please let us know how you are doing!!
Thanks, Roberta! Things are going fairly well here, except we all have spring fever. It occurs top me that you all don't know that we have an 8 1/2-year-old. I'll have to send you a photo soon.
Wonderful!
Nice to see your haiku again.
Don’t forget about April 14th at 3 pm
Black Bear Crossing for Haiku Reading day! Please try to make it, Marc. Will send more info this week.
Thanks, Marjorie. And the reading is on my calendar. I'm looking forward to it.
