Ten times ten thousand
terrible things in this world
and still I don’t want to leave it

Wonderful haiku/poem. I wrote it on the board for my TOEFL students last week, as something had come up that made me think of this exquisite poem, and I wrote it out for my students. A woman from Saudi Arabia fell in love with it, and asked me, today, to find it for her. So, here I am, and will copy and paste it to give it to her tomorrow. Hope this is OK with you! If not, just let me know….

Precisely, Slyvia – because we know no other world…it's a step into the unknown, or into nothing, possibly :(

Thanks so much for letting me know how my poem has been received. Of course I am very happy to have you pass it on to your students.
