Ten times ten thousand
terrible things in this world
and still I don’t want to leave it

      1. Wonderful haiku/poem. I wrote it on the board for my TOEFL students last week, as something had come up that made me think of this exquisite poem, and I wrote it out for my students. A woman from Saudi Arabia fell in love with it, and asked me, today, to find it for her. So, here I am, and will copy and paste it to give it to her tomorrow. Hope this is OK with you! If not, just let me know….

  1. Thanks so much for letting me know how my poem has been received. Of course I am very happy to have you pass it on to your students.
