dear diary
it's been quite awhile
since my last . . .
Strangely, I have never been able to keep a writers' dream diary yet so many poets have them form the basis of their poems. They are such a rich resource.
.
Enjoy "thunder in the middle"!
.
I normally prefer nightmares to dreams, but again they hardly make it to paper except for this one:
.
counting down
to those waking dreams
my skill at handguns
Alan Summers
Publication Credits:
c.2.2. Anthology of short-verse ed. Brendan Slater & Alan Summers
(Yet To Be Named Free Press 2013)
.
And the only diary haiku I wrote was this one:
winter sun-
leaving the farm one last time
old diary finished
Alan Summers
Publications credits: Blithe Spirit vol. 5 no. 2 (1995); sundog haiku journal: an australian year, sunfast press (1997 reprinted 1998)
