  1. I've recently had this experience, flying back and forth from my hemisphere to yours, so the surface meaning delighted me. Then I began to think of the hemispheres of the brain, the hemispherical shape of the noise-canceling headphones themselves, etc. This haiku is a new favorite. Thanks!
