A sense of everything in balance, all's right with the world, complicated by "blind", obviously, and by "old" and "morning," which remind us that a moment is a momentary thing.

__ I see that dear old blind cat's head… bobbing from side to side… its ears catching each bird's song. A different "Brightness." Nice.
Very nice. I keep re-reading this!
Aw the old cat. Is he aware of the brightness even though he is blind. Certainly the birds will tell him its morning. Lovely.
