    Humpbacks are amazing. I saw them off Fraser Island, Queensland and was a spotter in a plane for tourist boats. Plus on a smaller boat I could reach out to pat a humpback whale, but can't remember if I did, but had a great sense of calm that this majestic creature was both by and under our little boat.

    From the spotter plane we look for 'footprints' the circles created by their breathing.
