Submissions for tinywords 17.2 NOW OPEN

With Dave Serjeant’s “last one in” we wrap up issue # 17.1 of tinywords. Thank you to all our subscribers and readers for dropping by.

It’s time now to begin again. Our new submission period starts August 1, 2017 and will continue through the entire month.

That means: Send us your haiku, your one-breath poems or very short haibun by August 31, 2017 to be considered for issue #17.2, which will begin in late-September.

So check out our guidelines and use our Submit page (available from August 1 until August 31 at 6 p.m. Pacific time) to share your work. We look forward to reading it!

    Odd, the preponderance of haiku that appear on this website are riddled with cliches. One would expect more from a website like this; instead, however, the haiku are most often awash in mediocrity. Try reading Peter Yovu's essay, "Do Something Different."
