Beverly Acuff Momoi has written many forms of poetry but now focuses on Japanese short forms. Her work is included in numerous journals and anthologies. Her haiku collection, how the wind sighs (Red Moon Press, 2023) was awarded first place in the Haiku Society of America's Merit Book Awards, and her haibun collection, Lifting the Towhee's Song, is available online as a Snapshot Press eChapbook Award winner.

Mysterious. What is the construct that is on shaky ground. Or does it not matter? Social constructs are not natural laws and they will change, grow, diminish, maybe even disappear altogether.
