dreamworker
the dog at the door
of childhood
she doesn’t have
a playground voice
sweet violet
nocturne without benefit of stars
another
birdsong
summer
afternoon
adagio
weak winter sun
how fragile
our resolve
river stones
taking the path
of least resistance
recycle bins
all the things
no longer me
who knows how long
widowhood lasts
mute swan
thin summer bargaining for more
milk moon
she tells more
than he wants to know
this ragged rhythm
counting the beats per minute
late summer dusk
late winter cough
the crack
in the souffle’
it’s a monologue
not a conversation
kudzu
midsummer lull
the ants
regroup
another social construct on shaky ground
spring light tadpoles growing into their tails
