  2. This poem is excellent–and so apt! Just imagine the other end-words that could live on line 3:

    corn
    soybeans
    oil palm

    We've become the KINGS of monoculture, putting a large dent in diversity in the process. So glad to see this spoken to, if only obliquely.

    a diminuendo
    as rainforests' chorus
    are reduced
    to elevator music
