Relating to this, Sheila, even though spring peepers do not peep in Europe, unfortunately. One imagines their very name would bring a smile to anyone listening.
If the sounds of nature were to over-ride the commotion we humans make, maybe even soldiers on both sides of conflict would realize there's more to life than hatred and killing.

Calling in what sound like large groups, for hours at night, the small frogs make a grand chorus. I look forward to their return in the early spring.
