on my monitor
a white moth

rising and falling
the scent of tortillas
from shore
first star
the sound of acorn caps
underfoot
autumn deepens . . .
the slow stroke of a crow
into the wind
moonless sky
so much darkness
from my pen
open skylight
releasing a moth
into the fog
moonset
sucking the coolness
from an apricot
after the sound
of wind in the plum tree
a plum
her eyes on mine
just long enough
this evening heat
a butterfly
the slightest breeze
