city skyscape
a palm tree shimmies amidst
construction cranes

hot bright day
clop clopping in the street
a policeman’s horse
poui blossoms fall
I am torn between looking
up and down
crescent moon
the vendor
slices a melon
in my solitude
through the brick work
this one bright star
hurricane warning
in the uncanny stillness
a hazy sunset
morning’s stillness
the moon bright white
over the street lamps
hot day
the brightness
of this room
morning in May
raindrops scribble
on the window panes
Sunny day–
flowers of the funeral
wreath; all yellow
morning mist drifts
as the night stars
disappear
window view
swaying green tree fronds
in cloud filled sky
evening shadows
part of the moon covered
in a haze
Sunday rain
a shadow of the mountain
behind mist
awaiting
friends
returning geese
dim sum
on the hand painted teapot
cherry blossoms
