Covid life as we don’t know it
spring planting–
a runner of ivy
in the dog’s teeth
narrowing arteries —
my friendship circle
dwindles
beachcombing —
I fill my pockets
with regret
lingering jet lag —
the clunk of a foreign coin
in the clothes dryer
in foreclosure
the dream house
we didn’t buy
shuffling my steps
to match the cadence
of her cane
lake effect snow —
he has an answer
for everything
