Author: Kashinath Karmakar

Kashinath Karmakar (kash poet) lives in Durgapur, India. An electrical engineer by profession he came to know about haiku in 2011 through a poetry site called poetrysoup. His works have appeared in various online and print journals like Frogpond, Tinywords,The Heron's Nest, Prune Juice and Creatrix. In 2013 & 2015 he won third prizes in Kusamakura International Haiku contest and in 2013 an HM in the Mainichi International Haiku Contest. His first book of long poetry Within my Dream was published in 2017 from Authorspress Publishers, Delhi.
